How is Bichectomy performed in Turkey?
Firstly, surgeons usually give patients a general anesthetic before this treatment to make them less uncomfortable, but sometimes they choose a local anesthetic instead. Patients undergoing many procedures at once shoul be put under general anesthesia. During the operation, the doctor will make two cuts on the patient’s inner cheek. Then, the doctor will make incisions on either side of the lips to access and remove the cheek fat pads. After removing fat pads, they will use special equipment and little suction to gently massage out any leftover pockets of fat until all tissue is removed and blood arteries are sealed. This method is called “inside-out” because the cut is made below the skin instead of on top, which is how most liposuction treatments are done. After the buccal fat pads have been surgically removed, the incisions are stitched up with absorbable sutures.
