Vaginoplasty

Vaginoplasty in Turkey

Vaginoplasty which is also called “Vaginal Rejuvenation” is a kind of surgical procedure that is performed to treat vaginal hyperlaxity, stretch the tissues of the vaginal canal, tone the vaginal muscles, and fix their capacity.

How is Vaginoplasty performed in Turkey?

Many patients choose to undergo the treatment under general anesthesia. However, it can be performed under local anesthesia as well. You will be required to perform a “bowel prep”  to get ready for vaginoplasty surgery. The vaginoplasty procedure starts once the surgeon determines the amount of tightening needed and the amount of skin that needs to be removed inside the vagina. To gain access to the tissues and muscles beneath, small cuts are created. Strong stitches are used to tighten the tissues and muscles. Then, the vaginal canal is made tighter. Finally, sutures are used to close and seal the mucosal skin.

Recovery after Vaginoplasty in Turkey

After about two weeks after the surgery, stitches from a vaginoplasty surgery come out on their own without any intervention. Because of this, you don’t need to see a doctor to have stitches taken out. After one month, the vaginal region returns to normal. After 45 days, the patient can resume sexual activity. Even though the tightness of the vaginal region is mostly maintained after the vaginoplasty procedure, re-enlargement can occur, though very rarely, for reasons like aging and recurrent pregnancies. Exercises for strengthening the vaginal muscles are quite helpful in preventing such a repetition.
