    Ear Surgery

Ear plastic surgery, also known as cosmetic ear surgery, otoplasty, pinnaplasty, or ear pinning, involves moving protruding or large ears in a flatter position against the head. Ear plastic surgeons reshape cartilage in the ear to reduce its size or change its position. Furthermore, this operation can correct over-large ear lobes, shell ear, and lop ear. There are various methods for performing ear plastic surgery. The most common cosmetic ear procedures are:

    Cartilage cutting
The surgeon makes an incision behind the ear and cuts the cartilage away.

    Cartilage folding
The surgeon may remove skin, fold, and stitch the cartilage instead of cutting it.

    Cochlear Implants

Besides these procedures, Mydora provides cochlear implants which is a sophisticated treatment. A cochlear implant is a small, complex electronic device that can help to provide a sense of sound to a person who is profoundly deaf or severely hard of hearing.

It is very different from a hearing aid. Hearing aids amplify sounds so they may be detected by damaged ears. Cochlear implants bypass damaged portions of the ear and directly stimulate the auditory nerve.
