    Cardiology

The heart is one of the most vital organ contained within the human body and cardiology is a medical specialty deals with disorders of the heart. Cardiology focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of such conditions as congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, electrophysiology, heart failure and valvular heart disease. Mydora provides cardiology treatments with highly skilled, leading surgeons in Turkey.

To perform minimally invasive heart surgery, small incisions are made between the ribs on your right side, rather than cutting through your breastbone, as is done in open-heart surgery.

Coronary heart disease (CHD) occurs when a waxy substance called plaque builds up inside the coronary arteries. Your heart muscle receives oxygen-rich blood from these arteries.

Heart (cardiac) and chest (thoracic) surgeons diagnose and surgically treat conditions of the heart, lungs, and chest. Cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgeons are part of an integrated, multidisciplinary team of doctors and health care professionals who provide individualized care.

This team ensures you receive exactly the care you need by working with experts in cardiovascular medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology, hematology, oncology, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, vascular medicine, endovascular surgery, anesthesiology, pathology, radiology, pediatrics, and physical therapy.

Plaques that induce coronary artery constriction often only affect a small portion of the artery. The diameter of the vessel is normal beyond the constricted area. A non-surgical method can open the stenosis if the issue is isolated to one or two vessels. It is known as balloon angioplasty (PTCA). Using angiographic x-ray equipment, cardiologists carry out this treatment. Drug-eluting stents are inserted and blood flow is re-optimized when the balloon is not sufficient.

There are four valves in the heart that keep the blood flowing correctly. The mitral valve, tricuspid valve, pulmonary valve, and aortic valve are some of these valves. The leaflets or cusps on each valve alternately open and close once per heartbeat. The valves occasionally malfunction, preventing the blood from flowing freely from your heart to the rest of your body.

Atrial fibrillation is an inconsistent and frequently rapid heart rate that can increase your risk of stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications. The two top chambers of the heart, known as the atria, beat erratically and chaotically during atrial fibrillation. Heart palpitations, breathlessness, and weakness are common signs of atrial fibrillation.
